Luxurious rooms. (I had a big bath in mine). Staff were so welcoming and friendly I did indeed feel like a Sultan. Nothing was too much trouble for Levent, the office manager. I arrived well before check-in & was offered breakfast which I desperately needed after my long-haul flight. And it was a breakfast to remember.

Excellently located modern hotel at the heart of istanbul

Comfortable modern hotel in the shadow of some of Istanbul's finest monuments. I could not ask for better when sightseeing. Good spacious room. Good choice for breakfast which could be taken on the terrace with good view. Area is very touristy but the hotel seemed an oasis of calm.

Best hotel ever

This hotel has the best view in Istanbul ever. You step out of the door, and the Blue Mosque is right there, greeting you. Its beautiful. Attaching the image of the view you see. Great breakfast as well. Great staff. Very helpful. A 5 minute walk from the center of Sultanahmet where Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, and Topkapi are.

Very helpful staff

Our party of four wish to thank the very helpful staff of the Sultanahmet Palace Hotel. We arrived at the hotel in the very early hours of the morning last Sunday (11th Nov) after a total stuff-up of our booking by our travel company. Staff - Tahir and Ismail were extremely courteous and helpful on our arrival and again later in the day when we were transferring to the airport. Thank you very much.

Fantastic Location

This hotel is situated in a wonderful position, nearby so many of Istanbul's most interesting tourist attractions. It has been modernised in recent years but still has many attractive older features. The rooms are a good size and reasonably well furnished, although the bathroom is a bit cramped.

Breakfast was lovely overlooking many of the other nearby buildings and out across the Bosphorus. The staff were very good, particularly Levent and Tahir who really helped so much when we found our travel agent had booked some flights on the wrong day. Without their assistance it would have been so much more difficult to resolve the situation.

Lovely welcoming experience in a great location

We had a lovely stay at this boutique hotel. A real gem of a place and so central to all the major tourist attractions..Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace. Levent the manager made sure that we were looked after. The rooms are reasonably priced and ours had a lovely view of the blue mosque and the Bosphorus. The hotel had lovely cool court yards and a terrace with an amazing view of the Bosphorus so you could relax with a tea, coffee or glass.of wine. Buffet breakfast had everything..continental style. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this hotel and hope to return next year.

Wonderful hotel

One of the best places to stay. It is within easy walking distance to the historic sites like Topkapi Palace and Hagia Sophia. You come out of the hotel and the first place you see is the blue Mosque which is just round the corner. Our room with a fantastic sea view was cosy, clean and comfortable. The terrace with the background music and sea view is so seren and relaxing. The reception staff Mr. Lavent, Mr. Tahir were extremely helpful and guided us on what to see and do. The other hotel staff like Ismaeel and Sedaat and AmmeerJan looked after us well. They were friendly and efficient and eager to make us comfortable. I lost my phone in a Taxi and had given up but the management were so efficient in getting it back for me. Impressive and amazing. We just loved our stay and whenever we return next, staying here will be our foremost choice.

Authentic Turkish Hotel

The Sultanahmet Palace Hotel is perfectly located in the most touristic area of Istanbul, right next to the Blue Mosque and the Atasofya. The tram station nearby offers easy access to the other parts of the city. Although it’s in a touristic area, it’s very calm and peaceful place to stay.
The building, sumptuously decorated, is a perfect fusion of Ottoman architecture and historical luxury style.
I really enjoyed the authenticity of my room, clean and comfortable with a private traditional Turkeys Hamam in room.
Good breakfast service with an amazing view across the Bosporus.
Staff were attentive, helpful and spoke English fluently.
Definitely...highly recommend location!

Wonderful Stay

This place is really nice and worth every penny you spend on it, very clean, tasty breakfast, friendly & Helpful staff, stayed there several years ago, but have't reviewed it(2012 I guess., the system wont' allow me to go back in date and review, so you guys might see it as a new review ).
so I am giving the favor back, I recommend it especially when you know it's located in the heart of Istanbul historical area (Sultanahmet) where all tourists are wandering around.

We were 6 family members. We found a hotel strategical well located.. Physical conditions are great and according to the price. Restaurante is located in at the top and the viwe is great! Food at breakfast is okey.

Thanks to Aziz and Levent both of them are friendly and speak English as well as Spanish and make easier to solve any request.

Wonderful Position with stunning views of the Marmara Sea

This hotel must rate as the best positioned hotel in Istanbul. You can walk to all the major sites, indeed it overlooks the Blue Mosque. The hotel itself is very attractive with tables and chairs within the gates of the entrance and a pretty garden to sit and enjoy. Despite its location its remarkably quiet. The inevitable calls to prayer from the mosque break the silence, but other than that its peaceful. We had a De Luxe room with a balcony overlooking the Marmara Sea. The room was quite tight for space but we had a king sized bed. For the first night we had a duvet which was too small for the bed size, but without us asking it was replaced by a larger one for the following night. The bathrooms were a bit of a challenge with a large marble basin in the shower taking up most of the room!
The reception staff were extremely helpful and spoke good English.
Breakfast offered rather limited choice.
Overall I would recommend this hotel for its proximity to the tourist sites. It was wonderful to do all we wanted on foot, including the Grand Bazaar.

If visit Istambul, don't miss this hotel

The hotel is very close to many tourist attractions: Arasta Bazar, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Palace. Rooms are small but nice and clean. Shower was a real experience for me but I don't complain. Breakfast is simple but ok: tasty products in Turkish style. The interior of the hotel is great, garden in front, also. Employees are very nice and polite, always ready to help. Despite is very close to Blue Mosque, I can say the hotel is quiet except five times a day when muezzin is calling prayer. But it was ok and in local atmosphere. After one hard day in Istanbul, you don't mind it!

Great location

This hotel is right in the heart of Istanbul. Few meters away from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, it will welcome you and will make you feel like a Sultan. It has rooms with hamam, they change the sheets and the towels every day and will offer you a breakfast with an amazing view over the Marmara Sea. I will return there for sure.

Great hotel with a great view

Stayed here for a week. It's a great hotel in a great location. Stay in one of the rooms overlooking the sea you won't be disappointed. Staff are excellent and very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay close to the old town. The bazaar across the road is excellent too.

Delightful

First stayed here in 2008, and after staying at a couple of chain hotels on subsequent visits, I looked forward to staying here again. If you want Turkish atmosphere and charm, this is it. A complaint to the manager was dealt with immediately and wine and a fruit platter was delivered to our room. Retreating from the bustle of Istanbul to our balcony & looking over the Marmara Sea was lovely. Very central with an easy walk to the major attractions.

Perfect location!

This place is truly unique for its location, its look and its view from the terrace! Apart from that, there are some small things that made me only give 4 stars. The bathrooms are small and by small I mean it's almost impossible to close the door without standing in the shower. Second is that the breakfast choice is neither warm nor really big (which might be due to the lack of tourists this year). But if you can arrange yourself with this, you get a beautiful looking hotel in a great location!

Very well located hotel

The hotel had a very nice terrace. The hotel has an excellent sea view. The offered services were very good and the people of the hotel were very kind. The hotel location is very convenient and you can easily visit various places close to it.
